We specialize in the design, development, and production of plastic containers and caps for the fragrance, cosmetic, personal care, health care, and food industries among others.
We are a Latin American group with production facilities in Colombia, Peru, and Ecuador, thus positioning us as a regional provider with multiple factory locations.
Our Processes are diverse and include injection molding, injection stretch blow molding, blow molding, extrusion blow molding, coextrusion blow molding and preform injection molding. We decorate our products through processes such as high vacum metalizing, painting, silk screening printing, laser, digital printing, pad printing, adhesive and thermo shrinkable labeling.

TIMELINE

  • PIERIPLAST 2017

    Starts an automated production line for the manufacturing of compact cases becoming a global supplier for one of the most important multilevel companies worldwide.
  • 2017

    The company installs the Surlyn Injection plant for the manufacturing of fragrance caps and heavy wall jars that resemble glass in appearance and a thickness. Amfora Packaging SA starts operations in Guayaquil (Ecuador)
  • PIERIPLAST 2016

    Increases its capacity in injection molding, with the arrival of new equipments of up to 260 tons press.
  • 2016

    The company implements a line of paint and high vacuum metalizing for plastic and glass products, utilizing thermal and UV paints for high gloss and high resistance. With this process, we offer clients a great variety of finishes with cosmetic effects. For example, Cracking, Soft Touch, Rain, Gradient, with glossy finishes or matte, depending on the client's needs.
  • 2015

    The investment fund ACON INVESTMENT L.C.C., acquires INTECPLAST S.A.S., in Colombia and PIERIPLAST S.A.C., in Peru thus becoming AMFORA PACKAGING, one of the leading plastic packaging companies in the Pan Andean region. With more than 800 employees and with locations in Bogota, Colombia, and Lima, Peru.
  • INTECPLAST 2015

    Becomes the first company to produce Green Bottles locally for the client Natura, and receives the prize of Diamond level Supplier by the client Belcorp. The investment fund ACON INVESTMENT L.C.C., acquires INTECPLAST S.A.S., in Colombia and PIERIPLAST S.A.C., in Peru, thus becoming AMFORA PACKAGING, one of the leading plastic packaging companies in the Pan Andean region.   • INTECPLAST 2014

    Was awarded the honor of “The Best Supplier for Blow Molding” by the client Yanbal International.
  • PIERIPLAST 2013

    Receives the prize for Diamond Level as the Strategic Commercial Ally for the client Belcorp. We begin a commercial alliance with the North American Company Mary Kay.
  • INTECPLAST 2013

    Obtains the certification ISO 15378, which defines “Particular requirements for the application of the norm ISO 9001 in reference to highest manufacturing standards and practices (BPM) in primary packaging for pharmaceutical products” which also encompassed manufacturing of plastic packaging materials for cosmetics and pharmaceuticals. Within this process, the company implemented a clean room with the classification of controlled air class D or ISO 8.
  • PIERIPLAST 2012

    Receives the honor of “The Best Supplier of Injection products” from their client Yanbal International.
  • INTECPLAST 2012

    Is among the most recognized companies in Colombia as far as design, manufacturing, and commercialization of packaging and plastic caps, reaching over 1000 national and international clients. The company is a leader in the country in design and manufacturing of molds for the plastic sector.
  • PIERIPLAST 2011

    Implements a CAPEX program to increase the production capacity, which includes a new line of metalization, purchase of new extrusion blow molding machines, new injection equipment, new rotating laser equipment, new hot stamp equipment, and new pad printing equipment for multiple passes.
  • 2010

    The company acquires two new injection machines and receives the ZAFIRO prize as one of the best commercial allies for Belcorp.
  • INTECPLAST 2010

    Strengthens its operation by increasing the number of multi-cavity equipment in the processes of Extrusion Blow and injection Blow Molding HDPE, PP, incorporating into the already ample portfolio of products, services, and clients, the manufacturing of roll-on packaging. Exporting increases to more than 10 countries and has earned a reputation for being the industry leader in rigid packaging in Colombia.
  • 2009

    The company signs a strategic agreement with Belcorp, one of its most important clients, to become a principal provider.
  • INTECPLAST 2009

    Achieves strategic alliances with manufacturers of molds in China and Korea, increasing the competitiveness of the business.
  • 2008

    The process of blow molding HDPE, PP, PVC begins with the arrival of JOMAR equipment in large scale, the only ones in the country at the time. The project CLAD begins (Logistic Center for Storage and Distribution) encompassing 5000 m2 for receiving, storage of raw materials, and distribution of products.
  • PIERIPLAST 2006

    Acquires their second production line of automated painting.
  • PIERIPLAST 2005

    Begins to offer the application of metallic coating for plastics. We implement the Six Sigma philosophy in the productive processes to strategically improve the techniques and tools for the improvement of this process.

    The company acquires high output machinery for mass production for the personal care sector.
  • PIERIPLAST 2004

    Acquires their first line of paint and high vacuum metalization.
  • INTECPLAST 2003

    Strengthens its process of Coextrusion Blow Molding and soft touch finish for cosmetic and personal care bottles. The company certifies its quality management system under the norm ISO 9001:2000 with SGS Multinational. At this point in time, 330 employees are working for the company.
  • 2002

    The company obtains the ISO 9001:2000 for their quality implementation system with ICONTEC.
  • 2001

    The company’s strategy towards larger production is potentialized, aiming towards top-level multinational clients.
  • 2000

    The process of Coextrusion Blow Molding is incorporated and the company advances into another line of business: Containers, caps, and products assembled for the cosmetic industry. From there the capacity of production is amplified into managing two factories and 220 employees.
  • INTECPLAST 1998

    Makes bigger investments in PET for the manufacturing of pharmaceutical packaging, during which time, were made of glass. With this innovative process of injection stretch blow molding, INTECPLAST was one of the pioneers in Colombia in the manufacturing of plastic pharmaceutical products. The business grew in sales, installed capacity, processes and manual labor. By the end of this period the company had grown to 170 employees.
  • 1997

    The company begins commercial alliances with Yanbal International.
  • 1994

    The company continues to grow and relocates to the industrial park in Soacha. It specializes in the processes of injection molding and conventional blow molding, managing different materials (PVC, PEAD, HDPE, PP, PET). By then the company had 100 employees.
  • 1992

    The design and mold fabrication process is consolidated. By then INTECPLAST had acquired 12 injection and 8 blow molding machines. We also began the process of production with an injection stretch blow molding PET machine. With this, we were able to break into the national and international markets by offering pharmaceutical and cosmetic lines.
  • 1991

    The company incorporates the process of mold manufacturing in their production chain.
  • 1990

    The company begins a commercial alliance with Belcorp, an important company in the cosmetic sector.
  • 1990

    The beginning of integral services is consolidated when incorporating the printing process. Sales multiply, which leads to the increase in machinery and employees. 40 people worked in three shifts.
  • INTECPLAST 1988

    Redefines its value proposal by offering the fabrication of complete packaging: container and cap. The first steps in designing and manufacturing molds are taken, when the first workshop for tools is created.
  • PIERIPLAST 1987

    Initiates operations as a low cost manufacturing company for plastic toys and houseware.
  • INTECPLAST 1984

    By this time INTECPLAST now counted with five Injection machines and acquired three German machines to begin the process of extrusion blow molding in double stations, with specialized heads for different materials (HDPE, PP, PVC), satisfying new markets in the industries of cosmetics and cleaning supplies.
  • INTECPLAST 1982

    (Technical injection of plastics) was founded in Bogota, Colombia, as a family business with one hundred percent Colombian investment. Work begins with only one injection machine.

Our 12,700 m2 factory has a production capacity of more than 600 million units per year. We specialize in the manufacturing of containers, jars, and caps.
We offer injection molding, extrusion blow molding, coextrusion blow molding, injection stretch blow molding, assembly, decoration utilizing screen printing, pad printing, hot stamping, adhesive and thermo shrinkable labeling, painting and high vacuum metallizing over plastics and glass.

PIERIPLAST - Perú

Our 6,000 m2 factory has a production capacity of more than 300 million units a year.
We specialize in the manufacturing of containers, jars, and caps, we offer injection molding, extrusion blow molding, injection blow molding, assembly, decoration utilizing screen printing, pad printing, hot stamping, adhesive and thermo shrinkable labeling, painting and high vacuum metallizing over plastics and glass, laser printing as well as digital printing.

AMFORA PACKAGING S.A. - Ecuador

Our 800 m2 factory has a production capacity of 40 million units a year. We specialize in the manufacturing of containers and caps; we offer injection molding and injection blow molding.

These auditors take into account ethical requirements like, free choice of employment, freedom of association, the right to collective negotiation, safe and healthy working conditions, anti-child labor, including paying wages, do not exceed working hours, anti-discrimination, regular work, anti-inhumane treatment, code of conduct, which includes anti-corruption policies, anti-bribery policies and other policies related to Asset Laundering Risk Administration System and Anti Terrorism Financing SARLAFT.
